Sérgio Odilon Nadalin Research Line:Space & Sociability I was born in Curitiba, Paraná and was licensed in History by UFPR in 1966. I started my career as Voluntary Teaching Assistant at that University in 1967 and since I took part in the project “Survey and List of Files” of the History Department (1969), I have been interested in the theoretical-methodological possibilities put by Historical Demography. This was the option that I set when I did my master’s in Curitiba (UFPR, 1975) and my PhDPh.D. in France (EHESS, 1978). I was also guided by this discipline when I established academic relations with Dr. Alain Bideau (Centre Pierre Leon, Université Lumière Lyon 2), with whom I shared research and texts, as a result of which I have performed several scientific missions in France, in the scope of CNPa-CNRS agreements (April-May 1986, September-October 1990, June 1994 and November-December 1998). I am a registered investigator with the National Council of Technological and Scientific Development (CNPq) since 1979 and lead a research group with CNPq titled “Demography & History” (2006). I published some textbooks and others, the references of which can be retrieved in my Curriculum Vitae “Lattes” online on Page http://buscatextual.cnpq.br/buscatextual/index.jsp .
